Construction of the new highway connecting Debrecen and ±·²âðù±ð²µ²â³óá³ú²¹ will begin soon. According to government plans, the project will ease transportation between the two cities and is expected to bring economic growth as well.
Preparatory work for the project has already started. A 35-kilometer section will be created, with 25 kilometers running along an entirely new route. The environmental impact study has been completed, and the environmental permit has been granted.
So far, Unitef-83 Zrt., Tura-Terv Kft., and Via Futura Kft. have been involved in the project. The next step is to prepare the design and construction plans, which will also include a new road connection between Main Road 4 and Route 49101 near Hajdúhadház. This latter section is expected to be approximately 3,200 meters long, according to °ÕÅ‘³ú²õ»å±ð´Úó°ù³Ü³¾.
The construction will include six interchanges and three roundabouts. The new section will stretch from the eastern bypass junction of Main Road 354 in Debrecen to the junction with Main Road 4 and the M3 motorway. The project is scheduled to be completed by May 2026.
